FTTC vs FTTP
FTTC (Fibre to the Curb) connects your home using copper from the kerb. It’s quick to activate—usually within minutes to a few days if you have an NTD installed—making it ideal for immediate internet needs. However, it offers lower maximum speeds compared to FTTP.
FTTP (Fibre to the Premises ) uses full fibre all the way to your home, delivering top-tier speeds and reliability. It’s future-proof, but installation can take weeks to months as it requires new fibre to be laid.

- FTTC: Quick setup, minimal disruption, but limited speed potential due to copper (max 100/20Mbps).
- FTTP: Offers the best speeds and reliability, but installation takes time.
Single Order Rule
You can’t place two NBN orders at the same address. If you need internet now, start with FTTC and upgrade to FTTP once it’s active.
