Capti Refer a Friend Program – Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

The Capti Refer a Friend program rewards existing Capti customers for referring new customers. When a new customer signs up using a referral code or link, both the referrer and the new customer receive a credit applied to their Capti account.

2. Referral Rewards

Referral rewards vary based on the network selected by the referred friend:

  • Capti Fibre – $50 credit for you, $50 credit for your friend
  • Vision Network – $25 credit for you, $25 credit for your friend
  • NBN Network – $25 credit for you, $25 credit for your friend

Capti Fibre Availability

Capti Fibre is only available in selected buildings where Capti’s on-net network is installed. This includes locations with Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), Fibre to the Building (FTTB), Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC), or Ethernet technology. Customers can check their address eligibility at www.capti.com.au before signing up.

3. Eligibility

  • The referrer must be an existing Capti customer with an active account at the time of referral.
  • The referred friend must be a new Capti customer who has not had an active Capti service in the last six (6) months.
  • Capti employees, affiliates, or agents are not eligible for this program.
  • The program is only applicable to residential customers. It does not apply to business or enterprise-grade services.
  • If the referred friend resides at the same address as an active Capti customer, they must provide proof of new tenancy or homeownership to qualify for the referral credit.

4. How the Referral Works

  • The referrer shares their unique referral code or link with their friend.
  • The referred friend must use the referral code/link at the time of sign-up. The referral cannot be applied retrospectively.
  • The referred friend’s service must be successfully activated before any credits are applied.
  • The referral only applies to broadband services (Capti Fibre, NBN, and Vision Network). Mobile services, standalone phone services, and hardware purchases are excluded from this program.
  • The referrer can refer an unlimited number of friends, but Capti reserves the right to limit excessive use if deemed fraudulent or abusive.

5. Referral Credit Application

  • Credits are automatically applied to both the referrer and the referred friend’s next invoice once the referred friend’s service is activated.
  • Referral credits will appear on the next month’s bill after activation. If activation occurs late in a billing cycle, the credit may appear on the following invoice.
  • Referral credits cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred, or used to purchase hardware such as modems or routers.
  • If the referrer or the referred friend cancels their service before the credit is applied, the credit is forfeited.
  • If the referred friend downgrades or cancels their service within the first 30 days, Capti reserves the right to reverse the referral credit.

6. Expiration & Limitations of Credits

  • Referral credits do not expire as long as the referrer maintains an active Capti account.
  • A referred friend cannot combine referral credits with other promotions or discounts, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • If a referred friend switches to an ineligible plan, the referral credit may be forfeited.

7. Multiple Accounts & Households

  • A referrer cannot refer themselves by creating multiple accounts.
  • If the referred friend signs up at the same address as an active Capti service, they must provide proof of new tenancy or ownership (e.g., lease agreement, utility bill).
  • If the referred friend later adds multiple services, the referral credit only applies to the first service activated.

8. Fraud, Abuse, and Termination

Capti reserves the right to deny, reverse, or remove referral credits if:

  • The referral process is not followed in good faith, or there is evidence of misuse or fraud.
  • The referrer spams or advertises their referral code in an unauthorized manner (e.g., on discount websites, paid ads, or mass email campaigns).
  • A customer breaches Capti’s Fair and Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Capti determines that the program is being gamed or exploited beyond reasonable customer use.

9. Program Modifications & Termination

  • Capti reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue the Refer a Friend program at any time.
  • If the program is discontinued, previously earned credits will still be honored but new referrals will not be accepted.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

  • To participate, the referrer must share their unique referral code directly with their friend.
  • Capti does not share full personal details of the referred friend with the referrer. However, for transparency, the referrer may be notified when a referral is successful, including the first name and last initial of the referred friend.
  • The referred friend will also see the first name and last initial of the referrer when signing up to confirm the source of their referral.
