Certain upstream providers and private peers require a valid, written Letter of Authority (LOA) before allowing the announcement of IP address space via their networks. The LOA serves as a formal declaration that the organisation owning the IP address space is authorising another party (e.g., an ISP) to announce these routes on their behalf.

Please ensure you follow the instructions below:

  1. Company Letterhead: The LOA must be printed on your organisation's official letterhead to confirm the authenticity of the request.
  2. Accurate Information: Ensure the details in this LOA (such as organisation name and address) exactly match the information registered with the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) responsible for your IP address space (e.g., APNIC, ARIN, RIPE NCC).
    • If there are discrepancies, additional documentation proving authorisation may be required.
  3. NetRange and AS Details: You must clearly specify the IP address range (NetRange) and the Autonomous System (AS) responsible for originating the routes.
    • If the customer owns an AS and will be originating the routes, provide the customer’s AS number.
    • If the ISP (e.g., Capti) will announce the routes, include the ISP’s AS number.
