If you purchased your Capti router outright, you will have full management access to it, allowing you to adjust settings and configurations as needed for your network.

However, if the router was pre-installed or supplied in your home as part of our service, it acts as a Network Termination Unit (NTU) on our network. In this case, we do not provide direct access to the router for security and service integrity reasons. This means that access methods like HTTP or SSH are disabled.

Why We Don’t Offer Direct Access

Our network equipment is pre-configured to work seamlessly with our services, ensuring you receive a high-quality, reliable connection. Direct access to the router or NTU could result in unintended changes that may affect network performance or security. To avoid these risks, access is managed through our support systems and services.

What You Can Manage Through Our Portal

Although you won’t have direct management access to the router or NTU itself, our customer portal allows you to manage key network settings. Through the portal, you can:

  • Modify your Wi-Fi network name and password.
  • Change the LAN IP range to fit your home or office setup.
  • View network performance statistics and usage details.

BYO (Bring Your Own) Router for Advanced Configuration

If you require more advanced network configurations, we recommend using your own (BYO) router. You can connect your personal router to the Capti-installed router/NTU via Ethernet, and the Capti device will operate in bridge mode. This allows you to customise your network settings while benefiting from Capti’s robust infrastructure.
